Rosana Chloe Lai and Thibault Couperie Eiffel tied the knot in a private luxury villa on the Amalfi Coast in Italy. Their dreamy wedding was full of subtle nods to their respective cultures coming together, all in the context of the beautiful wedding destination they chose to say their "I dos".

The Hong Kong native bride wanted to pay homage to her heritage tough without resorting to clichés and overplayed design solutions. This fresh, modern outlook on the centuries-old tradition resulted in the most breathtaking Chinese Wedding Tea Ceremony yet.

Our gorgeous bride Rosana Lai - the former fashion director of Tatler Asia turned fashion editor and consultant - is a bride who absolutely loves fashion, and to no one's surprise - she's the one fashion loves her back.

So what did Rosana Chloe Lai wear to her Chinese Wedding Tea Ceremony?

Rosie's Tea Ceremony dress was designed by the bride's dear friend and talented couturier - Robert Wun. Specifically for Rosie, he's created a bespoke design and his first-ever Kua.

Traditionally, the Chinese Wedding Tea Ceremony look should feature red (auspicious color associated with good luck, celebration, and prosperity), but Rosie - a true fashion bride, opted for gold. Her modern Kua, combined some of the key, traditional elements like three-quarter sleeves (to give space for gifted gold bangles) and jacket & skirt ensemble (Kua) with Robert Wun's signature pleating. All adorned with embroidered crane wings on the shoulders.

In the French VOGUE article covering Rosana Lai & Thibault Couperie Eiffel's wedding, the bride called it a "truly one-of-a-kind and the most fashion-forward Kua I’ve ever seen!"

This intimate traditional Chinese Wedding Tea Ceremony was a beautiful and meaningful beginning to a long, wonderful wedding day, allowing the couple and their immediate families to celebrate the two families and cultures coming together.
